in sharing financially in the ministry of Emmaus Journey. God is opening up many opportunities to help form Catholics in their faith, for which we need your help.Emmaus Journey's newest initiative is in the area of Catholic short-term mission teams.

In July 2010 ten collegians, businessmen and paish leaders will participate in several ministries in Poland and Slovakia. Later in March 2011 a team will go to Indonesia and the Philippines to participate as speakers in Catholic conferences in those countries.

Short term missions will provide an opportunitey to mobilize young people in evangelization, provide important training opportunities, and call individuals to service and vocations. Interestingly, Pope Benedict XVI has stressed the importance of worldwide evangelization. "In a world marked by religious indifference, and even by a growing aversion towards the Christian faith, a new, intense evangelization is necessary, not only among people that have never known the Gospel, but also among those in which Christianity has been spread and is a part of their history."
